Kim Kardashian can now breathe a huge sigh of relief. A Los Angeles judge has approved the reality
television star’s divorce settlement with her ex-husband, NBA player Kris
Humphries, according to an April 19 Associated Press report.
While the divorce details are confidential and were not
disclosed in Friday’s court hearing, the judge noted that the couple’s
settlement talks spurred the court’s resolution. The divorce will be final after both
Humphries and Kardashian sign off on the decree.A pregnant Kardashian attended the hearing with the attorney and indicated to the court that she understood the terms of the agreement. Humphries did not attend. He was opposed to the divorce and preferred an annulment on the grounds that the marriage was a sham designed to create ratings for Kardashian’s reality show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” The former happy couple married and filed for divorce in 2011.
Since their split,
Kardashian has moved on with rapper Kanye West, with whom she is expecting a
baby girl in July. West announced the
couple’s good news while performing on stage.
At the time, Kardashian was reported to be three months along.
